I start my every day with a special potion – a glass of water with honey and lemon juice.
Well, drinking a glass of water with honey and lemon juice in the morning brings many benefits:
If you’re not an early bird, this mixture will give you a new lease of life. It’ll refresh you and make you feel upbeat. Furthermore, water cleans the body and mind, honey boosts activity and lemon flushes out the toxins, which often cause fatigue.
When your organism is dehydrated, you’re more likely to get an infection. In addition, dehydratation contributes to sleeping problems and stress. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C, which enhances immune system. One dietologist, which drunk this mixture daily, revealed, she didn’t have any cold for almost an entire year!
Lemon encourages absorption of essential vitamins and minerals and the production of bile (many dietologists advice to make a habit of drinking lemon water as it encourages weight loss).
Best time to drink lemon water is early in the morning, cca. 30 minutes before your first meal.
INGREDIENTS (1 serving):
1 glass of warm (but not hot!) water
1 tsp of honey
HOW TO: Pour warm water into a big glass, then add juice from ½ lemon and 1 teaspoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients precisely.
MY TIP: I usually prepare it on the night before in order to eliminate the chance of irregularity – I’m in rush in the morning.
